Founded in May 1994, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) granted nonprofit 501(c)3 status to Themis Institute in August of the same year. Contributions are therefore tax deductible, and Themis Institute can be a designated recipient in local United Way Giving programs. Themis Institute is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Board members, officers, and associates of Themis Institute represent the regional professional community.
Operating primarily in the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Kentucky, teachers, facilitators, guides and other professionals provide opportunities and support for personal exploration, spiritual growth and cellular healing through education and direct experience.
Themis Institute was formed to explore education, psychology, health, spiritual practice, the arts, ecology, politics and other areas of human life from a transpersonal perspective.
Programs, workshops, seminars and conferences are provided to the professional community and are open to the public.
